Down

Down is nature’s most efficient insulator and is generally considered the most comfortable and luxurious product for sleeping.  Its supreme loft and softness creates a soft and cozy feeling without being too heavy. 

The down products that we feature are hypoallergenic and encased in a soft high thread-count fabric that keeps the down filling from escaping.  This fabric also works as a barrier to allergens such as dust mites, dander, and pollen.  Caring for down products is easy, and due to the fact that most are machine washable, there is no need to dry clean. 

Down Alternatives

Although some people love the look, feel, and luxury of natural down and feathers, they simply cannot enjoy these products due to allergy sensitivity.  And other people may be precluded from using natural filled products on their bed due to budget constraints.  In these instances, a down-alternative product is the right solution. 

PrimaLoft® is a synthetic alternative to goose down that was originally created for the U.S. Army to be used in sleeping bags and jackets.  While providing the warmth and softness of natural down, PrimaLoft® is not only an extremely durable, machine washable, and hypoallergenic synthetic fiber, it is also antimicrobial and repels moisture helping to keep your body dry and your bedding clean.

Unlike other synthetic filled bedding, PrimaLoft® bedding products don’t get lumpy or go flat when laundered.  In fact, the more PrimaLoft® bedding is washed, the softer and fluffier it becomes. 

EnviroLoft® fiber looks, acts, and feels much like the exclusive  PrimaLoft® fiber, but can be a more economical choice.
